About us

The Waterman's Arms is a pub and restaurant overlooking an idyllic stretch of the River Thames. Head Chef Sam Andrews- previously of The Camberwell Arms and Soho’s Ducksoup- heads up a skilled and collaborative team who are now looking to expand.

We’re looking for chefs who are excited by the idea of cooking a regularly changing menu that thoughtfully incorporates the best produce available to London. The Waterman’s kitchen is a nurturing environment where the development of new skills and ideas is encouraged, expectations are realistic, and a good work/life balance is essential.

Whilst we’re initially seeking a capable CDP, a more experienced chef should not hesitate to get in touch- we’d be able to tailor a more senior role for the right candidate.

Skills

·       Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

·       Precision and speed in executing assigned tasks

·       Familiar with all aspects of service and delivery of fast-paced establishments

Duties

·       Prepare all items on the menu with attention to detail, consistency and quality, following our kitchen standards and specifications

·       Set up stations with all necessary supplies and equipment

·       Ensure that food comes out simultaneously in high quality, a timely fashion, and in perfect condition

·       Ensure that the kitchen area and all equipment within is clean, compliant and properly maintained

Schedule:

·       Days, evenings and double shifts

·       Weekend availability

·       At least two days off per week

·       40-45 hours per week is typical but flexible

Experience:

·       Kitchen experience: 2 years (required)
